Camp Rock 2, a Disney Channel Original Movie starring pop singers Demi Lovato and the teen pop-rock group the Jonas Brothers, will premiere tonight  on the Disney Channel. With the first Camp Rock movie, which had a total of over 10 million viewers, the stars join the cast of “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam.” In this sequel, their camp could close because of a flashy music camp across the lake.

“The first movie was all of our first movies,” Lovato says. “This time around, I knew what to expect and was a little more seasoned as an actress. The first movie was really great, but I think we all stepped up our game for the second movie.”

Lovato said she really connected with the “Camp Rock 2″ tune because she and Joe Jonas have been friends for so many years.

“If I had just met him, it would have been more difficult to play those emotions,” Lovato says. “We have gone through a lot — not just me and him, but all three of the brothers. We’ve been through so much since the first Camp Rock.”

An extended edition of “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” that features two new music numbers will be available on Blu-ray and DVD Sept. 7.
